We watched for a minute, then it changed course. We took off running up the beach to the cars. But the spout was moving a lot faster than this one. It hit the beach, and then us when we were still about 20 feet from the cars. Couldn’t see anything, and we kind of felt our way to the cars. We all had sand burns on any exposed skin and were cleaning sand out of the cars for weeks. I’m a giant puss and my fat ass would have been long gone by the time that thing hit the beach. I see an excellent metaphor for the way the Brazilians handled corona so far. Huh… I figured movies were bullshit when people crowd around to watch something clearly dangerous. I guess this proved me wrong.

It was a pretty sound idea, but this waterspout must have wanted to screw them in particular. At the equator, does a waterspout or tornado spin clockwise or counterclockwise? On Google maps, I found Brazil, but the equator wasn’t shown. I searched for “equator” and it responded with “Google Maps can’t find equator”. Lol for some weird reason I have it in my head that if some even not that much sand gets in it, it might go away? Not to like save people or anything but just purely curious. Just deep enough that you are level with the ground. You’ll get a light sanding though.
