You’re right, they wouldn’t know. But even if I’m Done Welding Let’s Go Camping Vintage Shirt don’t share groceries, how often do people need to shop? If you really want to follow the rules, people can plan ahead and only do their shop every 3 or 4 days (depending on how many housemates you have). People shouldn’t need to shop daily. Yes, it would be ludicrous if you didn’t have shared groceries and you weren’t allowed to shop for food. There’s no way they can know anyways I don’t get it, there is no way they can tell if more than one person from the same household has been out shopping on the same day.

The point isn’t strict adherence to the rules, it’s to encourage fewer people to be out. I live in a sharehouse where we don’t communicate about or share groceries or cooking at all due to different dietary requirements, but now instead of just marching down the shops, I’ll ask if anyone needs anything. If even one trip is prevented then it’s working.it also means fewer people in the shops if you cant have couples and families shopping together.
