A container on a ship is the same price whether it has only your order in it or 1,000 orders in it, so they’re probably trying to get the best shipping value on their end. Once it’s onboard, it only takes 2 weeks for a ship to meander across the pacific.

For this reason, any time a product is delayed 3 months I cancel the order with a week to spare.
